Busy Merrylands Café is lookingfor someone enthusiastic, bubbly & friendly to fit the role ofsupervisor/shift manager. This position will suit an individual who has a greatattitude and is willing to learn. In order to succeed in this role you musthave exceptional customer service and the abilityto lead a team.

Asthe supervisor, you will need to look the part – professional and wellpresented. The right candidate will have a natural gift for hospitality and beable to work independently and also motivate and lead a team through theirpassion, their example and their commitment.

To really shine, you will need tobe a team player who knows how to juggle multiple tasks at one time, managetheir time effectively, keep cool under pressure and manage a professionalteam, ensuring service consistency.

You will need to be able to work with POS, tills,cashless payment systems, emailing, admin and data input while overlookingweekly and daily functions.

Naturally, there is also some general cleaning, washing up and food safetytasks involved in the role. Some experience working as a barista is preferred,but not essential as we will provide all training.



ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

1. MUST haveprevious experience in a cafe/restaurant and/or similar role as a supervisor ormanager

2. Initiativeand be highly motivated

3. Be ableto communicate effectively with the manager and staff

4. Must havea friendly, bubbly, positive personality

5. Exceptionalcustomer service skills and be able to promotesales by understandingcustomer's needs

6. Leadership ability



JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position requires some early morning starts. It is a very fastpaced workplace so we need you to be on top of all your tasks. You must be ableto communicate with all the workers as manage a cohesive team.

Shifts are available between 7am and 5:45pm daily and there is about 30-38hours a week available for the right person. We are open 7 days per week, soflexibility to work weekdays and weekends is preferred. We pay above theindustry average and penalty rates for weekend work.
