Monique Brumby

6.30pm – 7.30pm

Double ARIA award winner Monique Brumby is renowned for her strong melodies and storytelling music. Following the release of her third album last year, Into The Blue, Melbourne-based Brumby is forging her way as an independent artist/producer as well as a performer/songwriter.

Tim Freedman

8pm – 9pm

Tim Freedman became a pianist by mistake after quitting law school.  He has gone on to become one of Australia’s most established singer/songwriters as lead singer with the multi-award winning band The Whitlams. Freedman’s lyrics have been described as having a ‘charming cynicism’ and his intimate banter and stripped-back piano performances have captivated many an audience.

Jack Jones

6.30pm – 7.30pm

Born in New York in 1971, Jack moved to Australia when he was ten and began playing in bands when he was 14. He became the lead singer/guitarist with 90s band Southern Sons who had a string of hits including Heart In Danger, Always & Ever and Hold Me In Your Arms. His solo vocal and guitar playing talents have been highly praised by fans and peers alike.

Ian Moss

8pm – 9pm

Australian rock musician, best known as the lead guitarist and occasional singer with Cold Chisel. The band recorded eight albums, three of which were number one national hits.  Moss’s solo career began with a number one album and single and five ARIA Awards. Following the success of his 2005 solo acoustic album Six Strings, Moss’s latest release goes one step further as a fusion of laid-back soul, blues, rock and jazz.

Martinez

6.30pm – 7.30pm

Martinez is a family band of master musicians, led by father Victor Martinez. Originating from Chile, their music is mesmerizing – one minute their music is in unison, then harmony, across and against each other, back to beautiful and then forceful.  They’ve toured with like George Benson, Julio Iglesias, George and Human Nature.

Deni Hines

8pm – 9pm

Deni started out as backing vocalist for artists like INXS and Kylie Minogue and had numerous hits with The Rockmelons before embarking on her solo career which saw her win an ARIA award following the release of her debut album Imagination.  She has gone on to sell 1.3 million records worldwide and had top ten hits in Australia, UK, Japan and France. Recently Deni has collaborated with superstars Beyonce Knowles and The Black Eyed Peas.

Eran James

6.30pm – 7.30pm

Describing 18 year-old Eran James’s soulful voice, the late James Brown said "Man you sound blacker than me, I endorse you, you are the real thing." Since the release of his debut album at just 15 years of age, Eran has been making a big name for himself in the music industry in Australia and the US. In producing his next album, Ten Songs About Love (due out 6 October), Eran worked with some of the industry’s biggest hit-makers including Jay Newland and Tom Nichols and musician who have played with Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Pavarotti and Al Green.

Jade MacRae

8pm – 9pm

ARIA Best Female Artist nominee (05/06) Jade MacRae is renowned for her amazing song-writing talents, vocal abilities, beauty and style. Since appearing as the face of Australian R&B on the cover of US music ‘bible’ Billboard magazine, Jade’s debuta album produced three hit singles, received critical acclaim and was nominated for a host of prestigious public and industry voted awards. Jade recently spent time in New York, LA and Sweden writing and recording, and putting the finishing touches on her new album Get Me Home which is out on 13 October.

Pseudo Echo

6.30pm – 7.30pm

Pseudo Echo’s sensational chart topping achievements in the 80s, kept them on an exciting rollercoaster ride through one of the most prominent music decades of our time. They pioneered the electro-pop sound in Australia, had a massive worldwide hit with their version of Lipps Inc’s Funky Town and sold in excess of one million albums across the globe.

Mental As Anything

8pm – 9pm

Since the band of art students first got together in 1977, they’ve lived with the reputation as the band who never grew up. True to their name, Mental As Anything were renowned for performing their music with a quirky, ironic sense of humour and strong visual identity. Hits like If You Leave Can I Come Too, Rock & Roll Music and Live It Up helped to establish a large loyal fan base around the world.
