18日 シドニーハーフマラソン開催 交通規制に関して

18日日曜にシドニーハーフマラソンの影響でシドニー市内のメインストリートで朝早くから交通規制がある。

朝4時から11時までの間、シティー周辺の道路は封鎖されるので、お出掛け予定の方は前もって規制地域の確認をお勧めします。

Road closures and special event clearways will operate  in the Sydney CBD and The Rocks for the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon on Sunday, 18 May 2008.

Motorists are advised to avoid the northern endof the CBD and use alternate routes where available. Detours will be signposted.

For access to Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House, use the Cahill Expressway via Shakespeare Place. For access to Dawes Point, use Essex St or Cumberland St as alternatives.

Patrons and spectators of the event are advised to use public transport. Phone 131500 for timetable information.

Clearways affect both sides of the road unless stated otherwise. Times given are approximate and subject to change.

Roads will be progressively re-opened by RTA and Police after cleaning.

  • Clarence St then Sydney Harbour Bridge

For travel south

  • Sydney Harbour Tunnel then Eastern Distributor
  • Sydney Harbour Bridge then Western Distributor
  • Sydney Harbour Bridge then York St
  • Sydney Harbour Bridge then Cahill Expressway for North-Eastern side of CBD

Special Event Clearway definition

You must not stop or park on a length of road to which a special event clearway sign applies. The drivers of public buses, taxis and private hire vehicles are permitted to stop when dropping off or picking up passengers. If your vehicle is left on a clearway, it will be towed away to a nearby street where it may lawfully stand.

Special event clearways are enforceable by Police with the current fine in excess of $185.00. An additional penalty will be imposed if the vehicle is towed away, with the current towing fine in excess of $156.00.
